Christmas in Alexandria 2012
Our event this year will be held at the old Thriftway building at 7906 Alexandria Pike, behind Burger King.
This will be a collective effort between businesses, schools and churches to provide affordable family fun within the city.
Our committee’s motto is:
“You don’t have to go out-of-town to be out-on-the-town”.
We feel this event will bring people into the city and showcase what our town has to offer.
Our residents will not have to go to other cities to experience the spirit of Christmas.
This event will bring talent to our city from throughout Boone, Kenton, Pendlenton, and Campbell Counties. We will have five weekends of performances by school choirs, bands, drama clubs, church choirs, college jazz ensembles , quartet's, bands, and much more. We will have out reach programs to engage the youth of our communities to come and participate in "Broomstick Hockey" with the FOP and fire department. We will encourage families to take a couple of hours during this busy time of year to celebrate the reason of the season and create memories of a family together just having fun!!!
One of the Main Attractions....
We will showcase a 60 ft. train exhibit previously on display near the grounds of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. in 2006.
